In order to better understand the research and analysis of Nathaniel Hawthorne’s consideration individual freedom Puritan law, this paper discusses paradox “Integration” “Isolation” in The Scarlet Letter. This analyzes main process characters’ empathy from delaying awakening then remodeling, which reflects social conflict between individuals’ free will law 17th -century America.
